American chocolate for Sinterklaas

Chocolate letters and pepernoten belong to Sinterklaas, but the shoe or the surprise gift can be a little different. American chocolate stands out: Hershey's Kisses in silver foil, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, M&M's Caramel and Hershey's Miniatures. At AmerikaanseGroothandel you order it all by the box, in stock in the Netherlands. Handy for parents, schools, clubs, companies and shops that want to add to their December range.

Putting out the shoe

Small treats for the shoe

A tube of M&M's Minis, a box of Milk Duds or a Reese's White: small American treats fit right into a shoe. With one box you have enough for every evening the shoe is put out, or for the whole class.

Surprise and gift

King size for the surprise gift

For a surprise gift on Sinterklaas Eve, go for something bigger: a Reese's or Hershey's King Size bar, Hershey's Dipped Pretzels or the cookies from Friends. Also nice as a business gift or in a Christmas hamper later in December.

  • For good reason, always check this Company

Very clear website, excellent service. I made a mistake with the delivery address, accidentally combined a UK and NL address. They noticed this abnormality and emailed me, asking for clarification before they send my order. Very happy with the delivery and most importantly, their competitive pricing.

Frequently asked questions about Sinterklaas candy

When is Sinterklaas?

In the Netherlands, Sinterklaas Eve is on 5 December, a Saturday in 2026. In Belgium, Germany and France, St Nicholas is celebrated on 6 December, a Sunday this year.

Which American chocolate suits the shoe?

Choose something small and individually wrapped, like Hershey's Kisses, Hershey's Miniatures, Reese's Miniatures, M&M's Minis or a two-cup Reese's. For a surprise gift, the King Size bars work well.

How much is in a box?

It says so in the product name. A box of Reese's Miniatures, for example, holds 105 individually wrapped cups, enough to treat a whole class or group.

How fast will I receive my order?

We usually ship within 24 hours with DPD. Order in time for 5 December, especially if you live outside the Netherlands. We deliver to 30 countries in Europe, see also the shipping costs.

Do you also have candy for Halloween and St. Martin's Day?

Yes. Have a look at Halloween candy and candy for St. Martin's Day.

I run a shop or buy for a company. Can I buy in larger quantities?

Yes. You order per box or per pallet, and business customers see prices excl. VAT. For larger quantities we are happy to make a quote, get in touch.
